The National Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame was founded in 1960. The National Committee of Electors, consisting of 11 persons from the industry, select inductees for outstanding achievement in fishing, science, education, conservation, communication or technology. Qualifications for the “Legendary Communicator” category include promoting fresh water sportfishing to the public through effective writing, radio or television, broadcasting, photography and video production.
